Greg Vickers, Songwriter Exchange Coordinator I was born in the nation's capital, and raised across the river in McLean, Virginia (Langley HS, class of '76). I've lived for the past several years in Reston, Virginia. I am the seventh kid in a family of nine loud children. We Vickerses are very close. A miracle indeed, considering we spent our childhoods trying to kill each other. My parents, Len and Virginia, were loving people who always encouraged us to think for ourselves. I have been married to Gillian (nee Pope, also a McLeaniac) since 1984. She is beautiful and adventurous. I thank her everyday for making sure my life is not boring. My children, James and Melissa, are wonderful young adults. I am the least mature person in this quaint suburban family. I'm working on this, but, frankly, I'm having trouble concentrating. Greg writes overtly opinionated humorous songs and released his debut CD, Not Quite There, in 2004. He plays guitar, banjo, harmonica and sings, sometimes with his group, Only Restin', and sometimes on his own. For more info about Greg, visit his website at www.gregvickersmusic.com |
