Member at Large
I am glad to be an "at large" board member of SAW. I returned to this area of my birth several years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area and found out about SAW in late 1994 or early 1995. I have been attending open mikes as a novelty-song lyricist since then. Suffice it to say that, the more SAW events I attend, the more I realize that I still have a lot to learn and the more I admire and respect the other songwriters and musicians in the area. It is because of this admiration and respect that I realized how underutilized the potential of this organization is that I decided to serve those others, who because of their commitments, including the time consuming nature of the songwriting and performing crafts, did not feel that they had the opportunity of time to serve both the songwriting and overall community.
