Grace Morrison - Born and raised on the shores of Cape Cod, Grace’s unique brand of “saltwater country” has established her as a confident, refreshing voice in country-pop. With performances at Nashville’s Bluebird Café and co-writes with multi-Grammy winner Lori McKenna (Humble and Kind) and hit songwriter Barbara Cloyd (I Guess You Had to be There) under her belt, Grace made a name for herself in 2022 at songwriter festivals from Massachusetts to Montana. During this stretch she gained further recognition and invitations to write with Dana Hunt Black (Check Yes or No), and Steve Dean (Round About Way).

Katie Dahl Clear-eyed and tough-minded, songwriter/playwright Katie Dahl is known for her smart songs, wry wit, and wise spirit. A small-town celebrity on the Wisconsin peninsula where her family has lived for 175 years, Katie is also an internationally touring, radio-charting artist who “delivers razor-sharp lyrics with a hearty, soulful voice” (American Songwriter). In live shows that are both courageously honest and devilishly funny, Katie dives deep into questions of land and love, family and body image, grief and joy. “In unsettled times,” says Peter Mulvey, “Katie Dahl brings us a grounded spirit.”

SAW Virtual Second Saturday Songwriters' Toolbox w Christie Chirinos

In the tradition of our years of Saturday songwriting toolboxes, join your host, Christie Chirinos, for a refreshing, frank and helpful look at where your songs are now and how they might be improved.

Bring your finished, almost finished and just started songs to a session with other songwriters. You will perform your song for the group from your end and receive a kind but thorough look at how others hear your work.

Please have the lyrics of your song ready (in a format that works for a screen share) or submit it beforehand to the moderator (email address will be provided to registrants) so others can follow along.

Christie and your fellow songwriters will bring you into the community of songwriting and give your process some new perspectives.

Register to get the Zoom info.

An invaluable aid for looking at where your songs are now and how they might be improved.

Please have the lyrics of your song ready with multiple copies to distribute so everyone can follow along and comment after.

SAW president, Jay Keating and your fellow songwriters will bring you into the community of songwriting and give your process some new perspectives.
