Jon Carroll, a native of this area, has lived the life most songwriter musicians dream of. As Mary Chapin Carpenter put it, “Jon Carroll is a one man band, a poet, a songwriter, a singer of every kind of song and above all, a musician’s musician…and I can also attest to his being a not-to-be-missed performer.”
Jon has Grammys that prove it, chops to groove it, lyrics that say it and music that ‘do it’. An in-demand session player, producer, writer and performer, he is the man professionals turn to when it matters.
SAW is pleased to announce that Jon Carroll is coming to town.
Jon Carroll will be at Bethesda United Methodist Church for a workshop and show Saturday, April 27th. Both are not to be missed.
The Concert will be at BUMC from 7:30 to 10pm. Jon will be joined by Todd Wright. The two will have some surprises in store for all of us.
At the workshop, from 1:30 - 4:00pm, Jon will be delivering a tasting menu of songs. He will highlight and dissect the essential and the esoteric elements that make a song work and key strategies for approaching the craft elements of songwriting.
