SAW Summer Songwriters' Sessions at Earp's Ordinary
Wednesday, August 17th through Sunday, August 21st

Please join us for this special 5-day festival that is “all about the Song". SAW presents nearly 50 of the area’s best songwriters from Wednesday Aug 17th through Sunday August 21st. We are so fortunate to have Beyer Auto as a sponsor and Earp's Ordinary is kindly hosting us in their pop-up location.

It has long been our belief at SAW that we should have events like this and our hope is to have them more often. Your support and cooperation as an appreciative audience member is an important component of our success and ability to present future shows and festivals.

We have selected the songwriters carefully and are asking them to share stories and a bit about why they write songs. We will discourage talking close to the stage so that you can give each act the attention they deserve. There is a patio outside to be social and purchase merch or talk to the artists. There are also tables and service if you want to hang outside and listen.

Earp’s Ordinary is currently in a pop-up location at the old Zandra's Taqueria in Fairfax City located at 3950 University Dr. There's a free parking garage, you can park on the P4 level and walk to the plaza and we are on the left-hand side. You also have the option of making a reservation (571-318-8203) and sitting at a table in the venue as a patron. If the latter, the expectation is that you order food and drink while enjoying the show.

Not ready to go out in public yet?
We hear you. SAW has been and will continue to live stream and re-stream shows when feasible, so stay tuned for upcoming online events. And remember that our Songwriters’ Toolbox is held virtually, every second Saturday of the month.

How to find Earp’s Ordinary and where to park:

Earp’s Ordinary Pop-up is located at 3950 University Drive in Old Town Fairfax (NOT at the Main Str address that you will see on their website) that used to be Zandra's Taqueria. It’s in a plaza that opens up onto North Street; all the buildings there share the same street address.

There is a free parking garage adjacent to the plaza, with entrances on University Dr (next to Siri Om Yoga) and on Chain Bridge Rd (Rt 123). Go to level 4 and you will see signs for Earp’s Pop-up and the other shops.
