Friday Nights Live Music Open Mic (1st Friday)

Join us for this NEW Open Mic at the Church of Clarendon! There is an open mic here every Friday; and once a month it's a SAW-sponsored event.

Each person gets 3 songs or 15 minutes, whichever comes first. Beginners can perform just one song and children are welcome. Reading a poem, telling a joke, or doing a dance is okay as well. The purpose is to build community and make friends. 

Performers can sign up in advance or just show up and sign up then. We set up at 7:30, so they can come any time after 7:30 to sign up. Covers are fine and originals are encouraged. Music stands available. However, although bands are welcome, we only have one microphone and one guitar amp. Videos are available for $10 (from Paige Powell).

Performances do not have to be church-related, but please no foul language since children attend this event. The church supplies free snacks and beverages. Parking is on the street, or there’s a parking garage across the street that charges $5 for the entire evening.
