Hear, explore, and discuss the poetry of song lyrics at Songs As Poetry lyrics-only "open mic" and group discussion event, Tuesday, April 23, 7:30-8:30pm at Columbia Pike Branch Library, 816 South Walter Reed Drive, Arlington, VA.

Each participant will have the opportunity to read the lyrics of a favorite song at this lyrics-only "open mic" and group discussion event.   As a group we will explore song lyric's poetry, lyric's similarities and differences to poetry, and what we can learn about songs that stand alone on the poetry of its own lyrics.
